School Admissions Appeals
Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. Your choice of school will affect your child throughout their life in Education and beyond therefore choosing the right one is imperative.
The appeals process can be complex and stressful for parents. Whilst many are aware of the right to freedom of choice for their child’s school place, Local Authorities in our experience tend to bombard parents with reams of jargon which makes the process time consuming to get to grips with. Not to mention the fact that each school place (both primary and secondary) is highly competitive.
The appeals process is made much simpler and quicker with the help of expert legal advice and your prospects of success in obtaining a place at your preferred school are greater if you seek advice sooner rather than later, as time is of the essence from when you receive the Authority’s decision.
Southerns advises on appeal decisions for admissions to a variety of schools across the North West of England, including but not limited to:
- maintained schools;
- faith schools;
- free schools;
- community schools; and
- voluntary aided schools.
