Job Title Trainee Solicitor
Job Description 1. Legal casework (under supervision) including: - a) Interviewing clients and witnesses (and preparing statements) b) Drafting documents c) Instructing Experts / Counsel d) Pursuing transactions through correspondence and Court proceedings e) Negotiating on behalf of clients by telephone and correspondence f) Advising clients, orally, in writing and by telephone g) Attending Court and conference with Counsel h) Attending before the District Judge 2. Claiming and receiving costs and accounting / reporting to clients. 3. Any other tasks that might be required
Person Description ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES: Educated to Degree level; solicitors final examinations. Self Organisation; effective time management, communication skills (telephone, in writing and face to face). Trustworthiness, confidentiality, good timekeeper driving licence, car owner. DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES: Law Degree - six months work experience in a legal practice.

Hours of work 35 per week
Salary Details SRA minimum
